  • Authenticate with SPF and DKIM on every sending domain.
  • Publish a DMARC record (at minimum p=none), with a From: domain that aligns with SPF or DKIM.
  • One-click unsubscribe (the List-Unsubscribe header), honored within two days.
  • Keep your spam-complaint rate below 0.3% — and ideally under 0.1%. Cross it and providers can block your domain from the inbox entirely.

An AI SDR that sends without meeting these is not "optimizing outreach" — it's manufacturing spam complaints at machine speed.

The deliverability checklist for AI outbound

  1. Use a separate sending domain. Never run cold outbound from your primary business domain — isolate the blacklisting risk on dedicated lookalike domains so a bad campaign can't take down your customer email.
  2. Authenticate everything. SPF, DKIM, and DMARC on every domain. Broken or missing authentication is the most common single cause of poor inbox placement — no copy fixes it.
